  LSI-North offers numerous optional cultural activities on and around campus during the Summer of 2018.

   

   

  Campus Life

  LSI at UTTC will offer more opportunity for after-class language engagement and community building than any previous LSI.

  Participants can take part informally in a range of community activities, including:

  -Storytelling around the campfire

  -Social dances at the campus powwow grounds

  -Nature hikes

  -Strolls through the traditional gardens

  -Film screenings at the UTTC auditorium

  -Lakota-language plays (watch or perform!)

  -Pick-up games at the UTTC basketball courts

  Workshop Activities in the planning stages include:

  -Lakota song and dance

  -Flute lessons

  -Traditional plants and botany (Lakota and English)

  Local Attractions

   

  -Tour the State Capitol building, and ND State Historical Society

  -Take a cruise on the Lewis and Clark Riverboat

  -Visit Fort Lincoln or the Dakota Zoo

  -Enjoy recreational activities along the beautiful Missouri River

  -Explore some of North Dakota’s 57 historical sites and museums, including the Earth Lodge Village
